Questions & Answers
Q: Can I purchase a book from your website to participate?
A: Yes. But only if you choose "Bookhouse Pickup" as an option to receive your book as we need to physically hand you your Pages For Scoops Passport.
Q: Can I participate more than once?
A: Of course. Once you've read your 300 minutes and receive your treat you can participate again by heading back to the Wandering Griffin and purchasing another book to start your adventure again.
Q: I have multiple children, do I have to purchase a book for each one of my children to participate?
A: No. If you have multiple children in your family you wish to take part in the adventure you only need to make one book purchase. However each child who wishes to participate in the adventure needs to be present in store to receive their Pages for Scoops Passport.
Q: Does The Cream Treat BOGO Coupon expire?
A: No. Their is no expiry date on the coupons. The Creamy Treat however closes for the season on September 30th. So if you miss your chance this year please hold on to your coupon for next season.
Q: Who can participate?
A: Pages for Scoops is designed for kids ages 3-17.
Q: When does the program start and end?
A: The Adventure starts June 24th and ends September 30th. However The Cream Treat BOGO Coupons earned during your reading adventure do not expire after the end of the program and can be used the following season.
Q: How do I participate?
A: To join the Pages for Scoops program you need to start your journey by making a book purchase from The Wandering Griffin Bookhouse & Shoppe. There you will receive your reading passport to start your adventure.
Q: How much reading does my child need to do?
A: 300 minutes. Your reading passport contains 300 blocks (1 block = 1 minute). Simply read as much or as little as you want each day. Colour in your blocks until you hit 300. Then head on back to The Wandering Griffin to hand in your Reading Passport and receive your coupon!
Q: What types of reading count?
A: Once you make your initial book purchase from The Wandering Griffin you can read anything! Read more books, be read to, listen to a thrilling audio book or blog. We want you to read read read!!!
Q: Can my child read the same book more than once?
A: Of course! Just make sure to track your minutes!
Q: What happens if we lose our reading log or it gets damaged?
A: It happens. We totally understand that a reading log my go missing or even get damaged. If you would like a new one just stop on by the shoppe and we can hand you a new one or simply keep track of your minutes on a piece of paper and bring it in when you are done.
Q: What reward does my child receive?
A: Once your child reads 300 minutes to complete heir passport. Head on down to The Wandering Griffin Bookhouse & Shoppe to hand in your childs passport. Once handed in we will give your child a coupon for The Cream Treat for a BOGO (Buy one get one) medium cone! That's Two Scoop!
