Rockbound

On the cusp of adulthood, David Jung arrives on the harsh island of Rockbound, Nova Scotia. Wasting no time, he earns his place among the fishermen with hard work and an iron will to make his own way in life. Up against the surly old island king, Uriah, an ornery force to be reckoned with, David seeks middle ground between feuding families with long-time grudges.
 
As David settles on Rockbound, relationships bloom and lifelong ties are formed, whether he likes it or not. Juggling backbreaking work with raising a child, wily politics, love, and loss, David navigates the cruel tides of life that seem to plague islanders more than anyone.
